Motor Vehicle Accident Injuries Vancouver, BC

Motor Vehicle Accident Injury/ICBC

We treat clients with ICBC claims.

Receiving proper care should not be optional and nor should your treatment lack in any area! Ensure you are utilizing cutting edge techniques with the best therapeutic procedure for faster recovery and appropriate monitoring. ICBC billing can be a frustrating experience for some, but at Physiomed, we have dealt with many claims and are experienced in dealing with the paperwork while you focus on getting back to full health.

If you’ve been in a car accident and need chiropractic, physiotherapy, and/or massage therapy, we can help. ICBC has a program designed so you can access chiropractic, physiotherapy and massage therapy quickly.

As of April 1, 2019, ICBC changed the way they handle claims. You are now entitled to benefits whether you are at fault or not. You do not need a Doctor’s referral (if the accident is recent and you have not had previous treatment) For the first 12 weeks after your accident date, ICBC will cover 25 physiotherapy, 25 chiropractic,  12 massage therapy, & 12 kinesiology sessions. If you require further treatment, your therapist and doctor will be able to request additional coverage. ICBC covers the entire cost of your Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, & Kinesiology treatments (which means there is no upfront cost to you) ICBC covers the entire cost of each 30/45 minute massage therapy treatment.

ICBC notes that:

“ICBC customers (patients) who choose to visit a health care practitioner that charges a higher rate than what ICBC funds under accident benefits (indicated above), will not be able to recover the user fees from ICBC for claims with a date of loss on or after April 1, 2019. This will mean that the patient is responsible for paying the user fee portion, which they may submit to their private health insurer for consideration of coverage. Treatments are based on sessions provided and fees reflect fair market rate for a standard industry visit. Treatment frequency will be based on clinical recommendations and should reflect best practice. However, multiple sessions provided by the same discipline, on the same day, will not be funded.

To get started, just request a consult. We’ll just need your claim number, accident date, and care card number. If you have a lawyer representing you, we can liaise with them if requested. For more information, Contact Us Today at Vancouver, BC Center.
